Masks and Covid passes are no longer needed in Bucks, Beds and Herts, as 'Plan B' coronavirus restrictions are lifted across England.

Face coverings are still required on public transport in London, and some shops are asking people to carry on using them.

Greatest Hits Radio has been told people in Bucks should, however, remain cautious.

Daniel Flecknoe, public health advisor at Buckinghamshire Council, said: "Cases of COVID and Buckinghamshire are still very high compared to where they have been previously, so we're still at a higher point in terms of our all age case rates than we were at the beginning of last year, which if people remembered early January, was the peak of the second wave of the pandemic.

"So even though cases have fallen considerably since the beginning of this January, they are still much higher than they were at the peak of the second wave.

"Whenever possible, if I'm in a crowded place with people that I don't know, I'm likely to wear a face covering. We know that it is an effective way of reducing transmission, certainly while case numbers are high."
