A family run home care company which covers Aylesbury Vale is imploring people to forge a career in care.
Home Instead Aylesbury Vale and North East Oxfordshire offer care to clients who stay in their own homes.
As part of the service, they match clients with carers and have a one hour minimum calls.
The Skills for Care annual report revealed that there are approximately 105,000 unfilled vacancies in England at any one time.
It added that staff vacancies decreased during the pandemic, but have been on the rise since May 2021.
Home Instead boss Lee Harrington has said that jobs in his sector are future-proof.
He added by saying 'We have a number of exciting flexible career opportunities within our family run company.
Many of our team began their journey as a caregiver in the community and have progressed in their career with us which is great.
As part of our drive to recruit new caregivers, we have introduced a £250 joining bonus for any new caregiver who completes their first three months with us.
Along with a fully funded training programme including the nationally recognised Care Certificate'
Employee Experience Manager for the company, Matt Briggs told Greatest Hits, "We've had people come to us from all different industries.
We've had people from retail, IT, sales, warehouses, all sorts, and I think that speaks for our recruitment process.
And that's what I look for, it's not necessarily someone who's worked in care before.
I look for someone who's got the personality, the empathy, the patience, is able to communicate well.
People who have those types of soft skills that are really important to the care sector"
