Buckinghamshire Police Investi-gators get a scaly surprise
Instead of battling a fearsome predator win Cholesbury, officers found it was actually a replica of a crocodile's head.
People living in a South Buckinghamshire village have had a fright last week, after they spotted a crocodile in flood water.
When the small crocodile head emerged from in floodwaters near Cholesbury, it sparked concern among residents, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement.
But instead of battling a fearsome predator, officers found it was actually a replica of a crocodile's head.
"We received reports of a crocodile in floodwater near Cholesbury," stated a police spokesperson. "Upon investigation, it was determined to be a replica crocodile head."
Luckily, "The 'croc' is now with us at the police station," assured the police.
In a lighthearted remark, an officer commented, "It’s not every day that you get sent to reports of a crocodile in floodwater near Cholesbury."
A police expert also gave some handy advice to anybody who wants to alert officers to any more critters.
"Did you know that it is not that difficult to tell alligators and crocodiles apart? One will see you later whereas the other will see you in a while"
They're urging us not to be alarmed.
