Buckinghamshire Council dispel adoption myths
They're raising awareness during National Adoption Week
Buckinghamshire Council’s hoping to bust myths and raise awareness about adopting a child during National Adoption Week. They say there are up to 25 children at any one time in the county looking for their forever home.
The council is sharing the voices of those whose lives have been impacted by adoption and involved in finding loving and safe homes for children. Buckinghamshire Council’s Adoption team has been sharing podcasts, videos and stories every day this week on their Facebook page.
The team are looking for adopters who want to parent older children, brothers and sisters and children with additional needs. They are also seeking people who can adopt children from black and minority ethnic backgrounds.
