The bomb disposal unit was called out to Aylesbury last night.
A 'suspicious item' was found in a house on Rowland Way on Wednesday evening.
Police and the RLC Bomb Disposal Unit were present for some time overnight.
In a post on Facebook, TVP said:
"The antique item has been deemed safe by the RLC and confirmed that there is no risk to the public.
"Officers remain on scene whilst our enquiries continue, if you see them and do have any concerns please stop and talk to them."
