An online fundraiser has raised over £130,000 for a Bedfordshire man who was jailed after chasing two would-be burglars who'd dashed off on a stolen motorbike.

Adam White from Leighton Buzzard was sentenced to 22 months behind bars, while the Taylor Benford and Ryan Paul were given a two-year suspended sentence and 200 hours of community service.

All three involved in the incident were captured on Channel 4's '24 Hours in Police Custody' with viewers saying the footage 'boiled my blood.'

The fundraiser - which has raised the money in just over 2 days - hopes to reunite Mr White with the bike he sought to retrieve.

In a video shared on social media, he said:

"I just want to thank everybody, friends and family, the public for their support."

"It's been absolutely overwhelming so thank you, thank you thank you so much."

Bedfordshire Police posted a clip of Mr White leaving his property in pursuit, as the criminals fled the scene.
