Bedfordshire based charity 'Link To Change' has been shortlisted at The Smiley Charity Film Awards 2023.

The awards are now in their sixth year and give a platform to worthy charities around the world to get the recognition and support desperately needed.

Link To Change supports children and young people who are at risk of or are victims of exploitation.

Thier projects provide 1-2-1 support, outreach work and targeted group work programmes.

From the initial risk assessment and referral processes, they assess the children and young people using a contextual safeguarding framework, which is recognised as one of the most current and effective approaches.

Chief Executive, Hayley Brown, from the charity said their entry was about giving people a voice:

"We spoke to the young people, we looked at what type of film they would like, and it was about us showcasing them and their voice, but also about the support and work we do to raise awareness around exploitation."

You can find out more about Link To Change on their website and vote for the charities film here.

Other films shortlisted include the Harry Kane Foundation, Ripple Suicide Prevention, BanktheFood and Bernardo’s.

The winners will be announced at a red-carpet event in London on 21 March 2023.
