Bedford school reopens after body found nearby

Bedfordshire Police confirmed the death is being treated as 'unexplained'

Pupils will be returning to Bedford Academy as normal this morning (9 November) after a body was found in Mile Road yesterday.

A post on the school's website states it will "reopen to students at normal time on Tuesday, 9th November".

The school was closed for the day yesterday (8 November).

Bedfordshire Police confirmed the death is currently being treated as 'unexplained'.

A spokesperson for the force said:

"The man has yet to be formally identified.

"Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact police via Bedfordshire.police.uk/report or call 101, quoting Operation Throw."
