There have been a number of thefts from motor vehicles in Aylesbury Vale.

In the last few weeks 7 incidents have been reported to Thames Valley Police, where items have been taken from a vehicle overnight.

Sunglasses, change and other smaller items have been taken from the vehicles.

Aylesbury Vale Superintendent Michael Loebenberg explains that some of these vehicles were left unlocked:

"We are of course trying to identify those responsible and bring them to justice.

"But it is obviously very important that the public help us with this both by ensuring they don't have property on display and try and remember to lock their vehicle.

"Its really important that the public report behaviour that might be suspicious, such as someone trying door handles.

"We are supportive of the rise in CCTV and video doorbells, if people do have footage of a crime or something like trying a vehicle it is really important to report it to us."

If anyone has footages of suspicious behaviour, or saw something themselves they're being asked to contact Thames Valley Police.
