Edgcott and Grendon Underwood Parish Councils are trying to bring awareness of the proposed prison in the Aylesbury Vale area.

Three ehibitions of ways to object have been planned, with the final of those going ahead tomorrow evening.

Information sheets are being shared and visual documents showing the impact of the building are also available.

The £300 million prison is set to the the third in the Aylesbury Vale area, however it is set to eclipse the current sites with space for 1,440 inmates.

Currently HMP Springhill and HMP Grendon have a maximum capacity of 500 combined.

Both Parish Councils have pages dedicated to their opposition to the proposed jail, with Grendon Underwood providing a timeline of key decisions in the process.

Althought both councils ask people to express any objections they have as soon as possible, Edgcott say the deadline for comments to be given on the Buckinghamshire Council website has been extended to September 6th.
