It is hoped a road in Aylesbury will be made safer, thanks to new parking restrictions.

Hannon Road, on Walton Court, often gets clogged up, particularly around school drop-off and pick-up.

Now Bucks Council is looking at bringing in parking and waiting bans during the day.

A report says:

"The scheme aims to control the competing demands for the available parking space whilst preventing obstructive parking to improve both road safety and the environment for local residents and others."

Those measure could be:

  • “No Waiting At Any Time/No Loading At Any Time”
  • “Disabled Badge Holders Only”
  • Limited Waiting 20 Mins No Return 1 Hour Mon-Sat 10am-4pm.

What if the Council does nothing?

The reports says that to do nothing could result in access for the emergency services being blocked and would not address the issues raised by residents and businesses nearby.

If only parts of the measures and brought in, the Council says that then only parts of the issues raised would be dealt with.
