Police appeal launched after attempted dog theft in Winslow
The incident happened on Wednesday 10th March as the victim was walking their dog in Bell Walk
The Winslow neighbourhood Team are appealing for information and video footage after an attempted dog theft and assault in Bell Walk on Wednesday.
Between 3.30pm-4.15pm on Wednesday 10th March, the victim was walking their dog in the fields at the end of Bell Walk, Winslow.
As they were walking, they were confronted by a man who came from the direction of the sheep paddock and commented on their dog. He then hit the victim to the head with a large branch causing a superficial injury to their face.
The victim ran away with their dog.
It has been reported to police and yesterday PC Carter and Superintendent Loebenberg visited the victim as part of the ongoing investigation.
DESCRIPTION
The offender is described as a white man in his mid-thirties, approx, 5ft 10ins-5ft 11ins tall with stubble on his face, wearing a pea coat and a dark hat.
Three men were also seen in the field at the time of the offence, the police are keen to speak with them as they may have vital information about this incident.
A Spokesperson from Thames Valley Police said:
If you live near Granborough Road and Horn Street and have CCTV or a doorbell camera, please check your cameras from between 3.15pm-4.15pm on Wednesday for footage that may help to identify the offender and the three other men who may have witnessed this incident.
