The streaming arm of a tech giant is creating a new film production facility in Bucks, reports indicate.

Apple TV is set to take over two facilities within the Woodlands Enterprise Zone site, on Symmetry Park, in Aston Clinton.

The two units, spanning 170,000 sqft, are currently being prepped “to film some of its upcoming film and TV productions,” according to broadcaster TVB-Europe quoting The Telegraph.

The new film production facility, which is the result of a “hunt for studio locations in the UK” last year, TVB-Europe claims, will provide a huge space “for film studios and set workshops”.

A deal was struck in March this year, according to council documents.

Works are currently underway at the Vale of Aylesbury site ahead of a launch later in the year.

“At the Woodlands site we have confirmed that Apple TV are creating a film production facility in two employment units built within the Woodlands Enterprise Zone site (units 2 and 3, Symmetry Park, Aston Clinton – 170,000 sqft),” a council document states.

It adds: “The units are being fitted out currently and will be operational later in 2021.”
