An appeal for witnesses and information's been launched after an 18-year-old was stabbed in Watford.

Police were called on Saturday evening, after two 18-year-old men were waiting at the junction of Peace Drive and Cassiobury Drive, when a blue motorbike with two men riding it pulled up.

They got off the bike and one spoke to one of the victims, searching him and going through his pockets but taking nothing. The same man then stabbed the second victim in the torso, before both men then left the scene on the bike.

The victim's in a stable condition in hospital.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Andy Metselaar said: “We are hoping that someone may have witnessed the incident or saw the offenders on the bike around this time. Only one of the men was wearing a crash helmet, but they were both wearing balaclavas.

“The victim is currently being treated in hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
