Three men arrested after violent disorder in Chesham

One man remains in hospital

Three men from Buckinghamshire have been arrested, after an incident of violent disorder involving a number of men in Chesham.

It happened at around 5.07pm yesterday (31 May) in the Greenway Parade area of Chesham, near to a fast food chicken shop.

The disorder then continued, along Upper Blemont Road, Great Hivings and onto Mount Nugent.

One man in his forties was taken to hospital, where he remains.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening or life changing.

No one else was taken to hospital.

Three men, aged 25, 44 and 46, have all been arrested on suspicion of GBH and violent disorder.

They remain in custody.

Senior investigating officer, Detective Inspector Lucie Clarke, based at Amersham police station, said:

"This was an incident of disorder which took place in the early evening and one man has received injuries as a result.

"We are carrying out a thorough investigation and have made three arrests, at this stage we believe the men were known to each other and this was an isolated incident.

"We are asking for the public’s assistance and would ask anyone with information or CCTV footage of the incident to please call 101 quoting reference 43210236523 or you can report online through our website.

"The public may see an increased police presence in the area whilst we continue our investigation."
