Police are appealing for witnesses, information and dashcam footage following a fatal road traffic collision on the A10 Buntingford Bypass.

Officers were called at around 6.35am yesterday (Saturday 10 February), to report a collision involving three vehicles, an Audi, a Porsche and a Nissan.

Sadly, the driver of the Audi passed away at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.

A man aged in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and causing death by dangerous driving.

A woman has been taken to hospital with minor injuries as a precautionary measure.

Road closures are currently in place whilst officers conduct their enquiries.

Sergeant Nicholas Kane from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s loved ones at this very difficult time. We are in the early stages of our investigation and are working to establish the full circumstances of the collision.

“I’d like to hear from anyone who was travelling in the area and may have witnessed the collision or the events leading up to it.

“If you have a dashcam fitted, please check your footage as you may have captured something that could assist with our investigation. If you have any information, please email me at Nicholas.Kane@herts.police.uk.”
