Anti-social behaviour protections being reviewed in Bucks
The measures are designed to protect parks and open spaces.
Rules aimed at stopping anti-social behaviour in open spaces across Aylesbury Vale are being reviewed.
The orders are in place across parks in Buckingham, Winslow, Steeple Claydon and Aylesbury and the council wants to know how effective they've been.
Three consultations are now open to find out how residents, local businesses and other interested people feel about extending the current Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs).
PSPOs are intended to deal with a particular nuisance or problem in a particular area that is detrimental to the local community's quality of life, by imposing conditions on the use of that area which apply to everyone.
Brought in with the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, PSPOs are designed to ensure that the law-abiding majority can use and enjoy public spaces, safe from anti-social behaviour.
Cllr Gareth Williams, Cabinet Member Communities and Public Health said:
"These consultations are an opportunity for anyone with an interest in any of these areas to say if they would like the PSPOs to remain in place or not.
"There is also the chance to add any comments that they feel need to be considered."
The consultations run until 21 September. Buckinghamshire Council will review the comments received and make a final decision on the PSPO extensions by the end of October.
