As the cost of living crisis continues to bite, Anglian Water have unveiled a support package worth nearly £70 million- to help those struggling.

It's the largest ever offering from the water company and offers tailored help, from discounted tariffs to payment holidays.

"Water bills have not increased that much this year"

Regan Harris is from the provider.

She told us why they've done this:

"Water bills have not increased that much this year, only by around £20 a year on average for most families, but we do recognise that people need as much support as they can possibly get at the moment".

"Ring us and let us know so we can provide that really tailored support"

She went on to say that it offers a multi pronged approach that goes beyond just financial help:

"There's an element that's about helping people who are struggling to pay their water bills, by things like special tariffs, payment plans and holiday. But also are teams are especially trained to make sure that people are getting addition benefits as well that they might be eligible for and signposting them to how they can access that support"

"We also have our priority services medical register so if people have specific medical needs or they need help reading a water meter or need their bill in a different format they can also ring us and let us know so we can provide that really tailored support".
