Amersham man charged with drug, weapon and stolen goods offences

A man from Amersham has been charged with a number of offences.

Rodney Cox, aged 28, of Raans Road, was charged on Wednesday (30 September) with one count of possession of a drug of class A (cocaine) and one count of possession with intent to supply a class B drug (cannabis).

He was also charged with handling stolen goods and possession of a weapon for the discharge of a noxious liquid, gas or electrical incapacitation device.

The charges relate to incidents on 24 June, 2020, and 30 September, 2020, in Chesham and Amersham.

On 24 June, a man had the steering lock of his Yamaha motorcycle stolen in Five Acres, Chesham.

On 30 September, following a Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act warrant, a quantity of class A and class B drugs were found, along with a weapon believed to be CS gas and a quantity of cash.

Cox appeared at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on yesterday (1 October) and has been remanded in custody to reappear at the same court on 16 November.
