A charity supporting survivors of domestic abuse across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire are calling for more support from the next government as their demand continues to increase

Impakt provides support across a wide range of support services across East Anglia.

As we head towards a general election, Impakt are telling us that changes need to be made in order to support groups tackling domestic abuse across the UK.

Laura Plava is the Head of domestic abuse services at Impakt. She said, “Recourses are stretched across pretty much every sector. It is very costly for people to leave their home if they have to flee.

"It's expensive and it has a huge long term impact on them, their children and potentially their family."

Laura told us that despite the there is support available for people, her advice to survivors is to reach out.

"We would encourage anyone who is experiencing or has experienced domestic abuse to speak out."

If you or someone you know wants to reach out to Impakt, the charity can be found online -https://impakt.org.uk/domestic-abuse/ or via:
