The A41 is closed in both directions because of a "chemical fire".

Thames Valley Police have confirmed the bypass is shut from the Tring Hill entry slip-road, to the Aylesbury Aston Clinton Road exit, "due to an ongoing incident".

An Inrix traffic alert said it is because of a "chemical fire".

Officers have confirmed the closure will "remain in place for several hours", and are urging people to avoid the area.

Bucks Fire and Rescue have shared details of a fire involving acetylene cylinder they are responding to at College Road North, Aston Clinton:

"2 Fire appliances and crew from Aylesbury, one from Amersham along with one appliance and crew from Royal Berkshire, and Hertfordshire are in attendance.

"Firefighters are cooling the Acetylene cylinder. With the support of Thames Valley Police, a 200m cordon is in effect."
