A41 blocked in Aylesbury after serious crash

There are delays past Berryfields this lunchtime (Tues)

The A41 in Aylesbury is blocked due to a serious crash this lunchtime (Tues).

Transport for Bucks say the road is closed between the two entrances to Berryfields - at the traffic lights and Aylesbury Vale Parkway.

Thames Valley Police are asking us to avoid the area.

Update from Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service:

Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service has confirmed the crash involved three cars.

It happened at around 11.30am.

Firefighters used rescue equipment to release an injured man who was left in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

Two other people suffered what are believed to be minor injuries.

Two appliances and crews from Aylesbury and an officer attended the scene.

Update from Thames Valley Police:

Officers have confirmed that, as of around 1.45pm, the A41 between Miller and Carter and the cross roads has reopened.
