A1M reopens after crash seriously injures 7-year-old boy
The road was closed yesterday morning
The A1M has reopened this morning after closures yesterday when a car crashed into a barrier after overtaking an HGV.
Hertfordshire Police were called to the scene between junction 8 and 9, where the driver, a man in his 40s, and the passenger, a 7-year-old boy, were both taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Diversions were put in place while the closures were active, with resurfacing work being completed this morning and the road reopening.
An appeal for witnesses and dash cam footage has been launched.
