The exit slip roads at junction 3 of the A1(M) have been closed, after a serious collision this morning.

The roundabout at the exit, for St Albans and Hatfield, has reduced capacity.

Police and other emergency services have been on the scene since around 4am.

It's reported by travel service Inrix, two cars and a lorry are involved.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the area, with the exit slip roads closed in both directions.

On the Southbound side, there is queuing back to junction 4 (Hertford/Welwyn Garden City). On the Northbound, it's back to junction 1 (South Mimms).
