Man dies after crash on the A41

A motorcyclist died in a collision with an HGV yesterday morning

A man in his forties died in a collision on his motorcycle with an HGV.

The accident occurred near Grendon Underwood at 8:5am yesterday morning on the A41.

The motorcyclist's next of kin have been informed by the local authorities and are being given support during his difficult time by trained officers.

The motorcyclist was riding a red Ducati and collided with a white Mercedes flat bed HGV

The driver of the HGV, who was also involved in the crash was uninjured in the collision.

Investigating Officer PC Stevens from the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit said: “My thoughts remain with the family of the man who died at this difficult time.”

A 50-year old man from Buckinghamshire was also arrested in connection with the incident, but has now been released under investigation.

The Police are appealing for witnesses to help them gain more information about what happened at the scene. PC stevens stated:

“We’d also ask anyone who was in the local area around the time that this occurred to check dash-cam footage in case it has captured the incident or any of the vehicles prior to the collision.”
