Woman dies and man in hospital after fatal Radlett crash

An 87-year-old woman has died after a crash in Radlett.
The woman, from Radlett, was the passenger in a white Audi A3 that was travelling along Theobald Street in the direction of Borehamwood when it left the road and hit a tree.
The reasons behind leaving the road are not yet clear.
A 90-year-old man, the driver of the car, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The collision happened at around 11:30am yesterday (July 31).
Detective Constable Felicity Moody, from the Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the family at this distressing time. Our specialist officers are providing them with support as we continue to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the collision.
“I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time who saw what happened or has any information that could assist our enquiries to please get in touch.
“If you were driving in the area and have a dash cam fitted to your vehicle, please check the footage to see if you captured anything that could help us.”
