A teenager's in hospital in Oxfordshire after suffering serious injuries from a crash in Aylesbury.

A 15-year-old pedestrian and a red Toyota Yaris were involved in the collision on Friday (March 8), around 9pm. It happened outside the Lidl store on Oakfield Road.

The boy sustained serious head and leg injuries and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxfordshire, where he is now in a stable condition.

Thames Valley Police say no arrests have been made and the driver of the Yaris, who stopped at the scene, wasn't injured in the crash.

Investigating officer PC Phillip McGlue of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “I’m appealing to anybody who witnessed this collision or who may have dash-cam of the incident to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.

“You can do so by making a report online or by calling 101, quoting reference 43240110169.

“The injured boy is being treated at the John Radcliffe and thankfully his injuries are not life-threatening, and he is recovering in hospital.”
