£130,000 worth of funding for an arts centre in Aylesbury will make "all the difference in the world."

Queens Park Arts Centre has received the cash from the government's Cultural Recovery Fund to help them through the pandemic.

Dario Knight is the Theatre and Marketing Manager, he told Greatest Hits Radio that the cash will help the centre face the winter with a bit more security:

"It allows us to carry on doing what we're doing and absorb the lost income and build our way back up.

"So, that as restrictions lift, and we hope they will in new year as long as it's safe, we can then try and get back to what was normal."

Dario added:

"It makes all the difference in the world because we can focus on delivering projects and workshops, whilst not having to worry so much about the financial security.

"The Cultural Recovery Fund is designed to help a lot of venues be able to face the coming winter with a bit more security and certainty."

Sadly the theatre won't reopen until 2021 but the centre has started Covid-19 secure workshops, which you can find all the details for here.
