100 new roles being created at Bucks' hospitals
Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust are trying to fill jobs by the end of October.
100 healthcare assistants are being hired in the next month in Buckinghamshire.
Our NHS Trust say they are a 'vital part of the healthcare team' and that it could lead to other roles in the future.
There are no entry requirements, other than a good level of literacy and numeracy.
The Trust say it can be a great start for anyone seeking a career change or for young people looking for a rewarding way to support their local community, gain valuable work experience in the healthcare sector and progress into other NHS roles.
HCAs work under the guidance of a healthcare professional, such as a nurse, but often have a lot more face to face time with patients and their job is to make sure patients have as comfortable and stress-free an experience as possible.
Head of Recruitment, David Howe, said:
"This is an exciting and inspiring time to be joining the NHS and you might be surprised by how well qualified you already are to be an HCA, just by being you! Regardless of your formal qualifications, if you are caring, understanding, proactive and willing to learn, this could be the job for you.
"By joining us as an HCA, you'll be learning from and supporting our nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals - the real heroes of the pandemic - to look after the local community and make a difference. It's also a great way to gain valuable work experience and could be a steppingstone into an amazing career in healthcare."
The starting salary for an HCA in Buckinghamshire is £18,005 and the role varies depending on where it is based.
Day to day, an HCA's job in a hospital may include washing and dressing patients, helping to feed patients, making beds and monitoring patients' conditions by checking their temperature, pulse, breathing and weight.
