Woman escapes alleyway attacker in Warminster by stubbing out cigarette on his hand

Police are hunting a man in connection with the assault

Police are hunting a man after a woman was assaulted in an alleyway in Warminster.

The incident happened in the alley which runs from Imber Road towards Wilson’s Square at approximately 9.45pm on November 28.

A woman in her 20s was pushed up against a fence by a man she did not know.

She managed to get away by stubbing a cigarette out on the man’s hand and kicking him.

The man is described as approximately aged in his mid 30s, with a black beard and wearing a black tracksuit and a black beanie hat.

Extensive enquiries have been carried out since the initial report was made but no arrests have been made.

Wiltshire Police are urging anyone with further information to call 101 and quote crime reference number 54220125858.
