Appeal for witnesses after motorbike rider 'threatened to kill' car driver in Devizes

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident in Devizes where a motorbike rider became verbally aggressive against a female driver.

It happened back on the 27th of July, when the biker was spotted talking on his phone while riding.

Officers say he reached into the car, took the keys from the ignition and then stomped on the bonnet.

In a statement, police said: "We are appealing for witnesses following an incident involving a car and a motorcyclist on New Park Street, Devizes.

"Sometime between 10 and 10.45am on July 27 a man was seen talking on his mobile phone while riding on his motorbike.

"When alerted to this by a vehicle behind he became verbally and physically aggressive, threatening to kill and assault the female driver. He also reached into the vehicle to remove the keys from the ignition and throw them over the car, as well as stomping on the bonnet.

"The registration for the bike is believed to start with CV12.
