Wiltshire Police investigate potential child abduction
A van was seen picking up a young child from an abandoned farm in Trowbridge
Wiltshire Police are investigating reports of a potential child abduction in Trowbridge.
In a statement they describe a suspicious incident at the abandoned Green Lane Farm on Wednesday evening (September 14), between 5pm and 7pm, saying children playing nearby reported a van arriving via Godley Lane, picking up a young child and taking them away.
A spokesperson says the force is "working hard to ascertain the facts" and "keeping an open mind" as to exactly what has happened.
They are appealing for anyone who picked up a child from the farm between those hours last night to get in touch with them.
