The family of a man who lost his life in Bath over the weekend say he was a much loved son, father, uncle and brother.

Anthony Rogers (45) died in a car crash in Twerton in the early hours of Sunday morning (25th August).

Emergency services were called to the Pennyquick and Whiteway Road at around 2:20am after a single vehicle collision involving a purple Citroen C4.

Anthony was the only person inside.

In a tribute shared by Avon and Somerset Police his family said: "Ant was a larger-than-life character and a free spirit who lit up every room and lived life to the full.

“He was a much-loved son, father, brother, uncle, friend and partner. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.”

A spokesperson for the police says their thoughts are with his loved ones.
