The train strikes set to happen this week, involving South Western and Great Western Railways, have been suspended.

The RMT and ASLEF Unions have called off the industrial action on Thursday (15th September) and Saturday (17th September).

It's because of the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

South Western Railway say they welcome the decision and send their condolences to His Majesty The King and the Royal Family.

The operator plan to reinstate a normal service for the days which would have been affected by the strikes.

They are also working through what further changes might be required as part of preparations to help the nation commemorate Her Late Majesty.

No timetable has been confirmed for the day of Queen Elizabeth II's funeral on Monday 19th September.

Customers should check journey planners regularly and be aware that services are expected to be extremely busy that day.
