Teenager dies in Clutton crash involving a car and a lorry

A 17-year-old boy has died in a crash involving a car and a lorry.

It happened at about 13.30 yesterday afternoon on the A27 in Clutton - closing the road while the emergency services attended the scene.

Avon and Somerset Police have now launched an appeal for information following the incident.

In a statement, a spokesperson from the force said: "Sadly a 17-year-old boy has died and our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.

"They are being offered support by a specially trained family liaison officer.

"We are appealing for any witnesses who may have been travelling in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch."
