Taunton man who breached lockdown rules and drug drove home from a haircut is disqualified from driving for 32 months

A man who broke lockdown and drove more than 100 miles per hour down the M5 in Somerset’s been disqualified for driving for two years and six months.

30-year old Robert White from Taunton told police he was on his way back from a haircut in Wales, despite the country being in lockdown.

He was also found to be under the influence of drugs and has been fined and banned from driving for 32 months after the incident on 17 March 2020.
