Swindon Town have signed a new goalkeeper.

21-year-old Mark Travers has joined the club from AFC Bournemouth, on loan until the end of the season.

The Irishman's made eight first-team appearances for his parent club.

Swindon fans will hope Travers can replicate his debut from his previous loan spell at Weymouth, when the keeper scored in August 2017.

In a statement, The Robins said the deal is subject to approval from the English Football League and Football Association.

They added: "We are very much looking forward to seeing Mark in the Swindon shirt for the remainder of the season and wish him the best of luck during his time here in SN1".

The club have also confirmed a new date for last weekend's fixture against Wigan Athletic, postponed due to a frozen pitch at the County Ground.

John Sheridan's side will host The Latics on Tuesday 2 February.

Sheridan left the visitors to become Swindon's boss in November 2020.
