South West volunteers needed for another vaccine trial
It will investigate the safety of giving coronavirus and flu jabs at the same time
Another new vaccine trial is looking for volunteers across Bristol, Bath, Gloucester and Swindon.
The study, named ComFluCOV, is going to look at the safety of being given a COVID jab at the same time as a standard flu vaccine.
It's being run by the University of Bristol and the University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Trust along with the University of Oxford.
"Our researchers are working hard to get the results available to inform UK immunisation policy as quickly as possible," a statement on the University of Bristol's website reads.
The study is being delivered by a network of sites across the South West and is funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).
Vaccine expert and University of Bristol professor Adam Finn has urged any adult living in the relevant area, who has had one dose of a coronavirus vaccine, to sign up.
