Police probe "sudden death" of young girl in Trowbridge
Wiltshire Police say their thoughts are with the girl's family
Wiltshire Police are investigating the sudden death of a young girl in Trowbridge.
It's emerged officers were called to Poplar Tree Lane in the Southwick area at around 4pm on February 25, to reports of a girl having a cardiac arrest.
In a statement the police say despite the best efforts of the emergency services, she passed away at the scene.
A man in his 40s from the same road is said to be helping police with their enquires.
Detective Inspector Debbie Hatch said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the girl’s family at this incredibly sad time.
"We are still in the very early stages of our investigation, and It would be inappropriate for me to comment further at this time.”
