We're being told to expect to see high visibility police patrols in Bath after a firearm was fired.

It happened late on Friday evening (6th January). Officers say around 11 pm a handgun was used outside a property in Snowhill.

A car was also damaged at the same location on Saturday 7th January.

It's believed the two incidents were linked.

Neighbourhood policing Chief Inspector Ronald Lungu said: “Thankfully, no one was injured during either incident, but we have increased high-visibility patrols in the area as a precaution and to provide reassurance to the community.

“We would like to speak to anyone who was in the area and may have seen or heard anything suspicious that evening.”

Anyone with information, dashcam or doorbell footage from the area at the time are being encouraged to contact police on 101 - quoting reference 5223004403.
