Key workers must PAY to park again after Wiltshire Council scheme ends
The local authority has scrapped its free parking initiative

Key workers using Wiltshire Council-owned car parks will no longer be able to free of charge.
Since March 2020, they have been free for NHS staff and those in the care sector, as a gesture of good will for their work during the pandemic.
However, from Monday 21 June, normal arrangements will resume for all car parks and on-street parking run by the local authority.
'This has been a difficult decision'
Cllr Dr Mark McClelland, Cabinet member for Transport, said:
"We know how important NHS and care workers have been throughout this pandemic, and we have supported their hard work with free parking on streets and in all Wiltshire Council car parks since March 2020.
"This has been a difficult decision, but as we look to take the next step on the Government's roadmap in June, in line with national policy, free parking for NHS and care workers will end on 21 June.
"We had more than 600 key workers sign up for this service with us during the pandemic, and many more obtained their free passes on the Government website.
"I'd like to pay tribute to all key workers across Wiltshire and beyond who have done such a wonderful job to help us all during the past 15 months".
