Multi-faith network is being created in Somerset
A new network is being created in Somerset to better support residents
Last updated 15th Nov 2022
Efforts to build links between different faith communities across Somerset head to Yeovil today.
Members of different faiths will be meeting at the town's library from 10 until 12, with the event open to anyone to learn more about the different communities locally.
It also aims to ensure different faith groups are supported and become easier to locate by potential followers.
A similar 'roadshow' event takes place in Glastonbury library from 10 until midday on Friday - which is known for its diversity and spiritual following.
Janine Evans is the Somerset, Interfaith and Belief co-ordinator for Somerset Diverse Communities, which is part of the Community Council for Somerset
November 13th – 20th is #InterfaithWeek and the 'roadshow' has been timed to coincide with that.
