A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a crash on the A350 in West Wiltshire.

A man in his 60s was killed when his car collided with another at around 9:20pm on Monday night (4 April).

The driver of the other car, a 29-year-old man, has been detained, though at the time of writing he is being treated in hospital for his injuries.

The road was closed between Yarnbrook and Heywood for around 14 hours after the crash and only reopened at around 11:30am on Tuesday (5 April).

The cause of the crash is now being investigated by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Wiltshire Police.

"We would continue to urge anyone with information, including anyone who has dash cam footage which could assist our investigation, to make contact," a statement from the police reads.
