The road was closed just before 7am.
A key A-road in Keynsham has been closed by police due to an ongoing investigation.
The A4 Bath Road is closed between Broadmead Roundabout and Pixash Lane.
Traffic is being diverted via Ashley Road but has also asked drivers to avoid the area.
