Incident on the line impacting GWR services

Trains between Bath Spa and Westbury have been impacted

Services are retunring back to normal following an incident on the line between Bath Spa and Westbury earlier this morning.

Great Western Railway services were impacted earlier this morning with emergency services were called to the scene at around 7:30am.

At the time GWR said, "Freshford, Avoncliffe and Bradford-on-Avon will not be served by trains until further notice. Taxis will shuttle from Bath Spa to serve passengers at Freshford, Avoncliffe and Bradford-on-Avon only, they will then proceed to Westbury. Taxis will shuttle from Westbury to serve passengers at Bradford-on-Avon, Avoncliffe and Freshford only, they will then proceed to Bath Spa. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee taxi arrival times. We apologies for the inconvenience."

The incident has since been resolved.
