The idea to link Curry Rivel with nearby Langport has been talked about since the mid 90s - and today more than a dozen potential route options will finally go on show.

Parish Councillor Tony Greenaway says they want to keep the new route away from the busy A378 to encourage more villagers to walk and cycle.

The plans will be on show in the village hall this afternoon.

Somerset County Council's also given money towards the scheme as part of its climate emergency community fund along with some parish councils.

The village has currently raised around £13,000 but expects the final cost to be more than £100,000.
