A crowdfunder's been set up to help save a historic tree planted in Bath by a suffragette more than one hundred years ago.

The tree is the last survivor of Annie's Arboretum in Eagle House - where trees were planted by campaigners who stayed there, often while recovering from imprisonment.

The last tree was planted in 1909 by Rose Lamartine-Yates, who was jailed for marching on parliament with 28 other women.

It's been cared for by the owners of the house where it currently stands - but urgent work is now needed to ensure its survival.

They're hoping to raise almost five thousand pounds - you can donate and read more about the campaign here
