The famous holiday park, which currently employs 752 staff, says it continues to recruit new staff for a variety of roles - and encourages locals to apply for positions.

John Wybrow, from Butlin's, called yesterday's lockdown easing and reopening ' fantastic' and said he and staff have been looking forward to welcoming guests back and entertaining them.

The resort had been closed for five months.
