Last updated 30th Mar 2021
The fourth Kill the Bill protest took place in Bristol on Tuesday evening into this morning. It follows three protests in the city in the last nine days, all of which descended into violence between protestors and the police.
Although the most recent protest saw no violence, possibly in part due to a change in COVID-19 restrictions.
We were here covering it from the get go, so for a comprehensive roundup of what happened during the most recent protest scroll to the bottom of this article and work your way up.

The teamwork mentioned earlier was short lived. The lorry didn't move in the end according to our reporter, James. Everyone has sat back down and continued the protest.
22:50
During previous protests, now would be around the time police start to move in but tonight that hasn't happened. They key difference being this time round peaceful protests aren't illegal following a change in COVID-19 restrictions yesterday.
22:42
It looks as though we may be seeing a little bit of teamwork between the police and protestors. A lorry needs to get through and can't turn around, so officers ask protesters to stand up and move. They comply.

Following on from the latest update. Police vans also wait round the corner from the protest in Deep Street.
22:18

20:13
So far so good if this update from Avon and Somerset Police is anything to go by. The force have just tweeted to say they've spoken with some of the 150 protestors this evening.

We're now hearing the start time of the protest will be 6pm. So far there's still plenty of people enjoying the sunshine on College Green.

A fourth Kill the Bill protest is expected to happen in Bristol this evening, as people continue to make their thoughts known on the new Police and Crime bill.
Avon and Somerset Police is urging protestors to work with them in order to put on a safe demonstration during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This would be the first protest in the city since coronavirus restrictions were relaxed and peaceful protests allowed if proper safety precautions are taken.
Although right now more people are on College Green enjoying today's warm weather as opposed to protesting.
