The National Lottery funded site is set to open later this year in York Street and aims to attract 100,000 visitors every year.

The centre is looking for friendly, passionate volunteers who have at least three hours to spare each fortnight.

Councillor Dine Romero, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, Communities and Culture at Bath & North East Somerset Council, said:

“Volunteers at the World Heritage Centre will meet both local residents and visitors from around the world, and share their knowledge of the city they love."

"They will receive full training and become part of a friendly team, welcoming the first visitors to Bath’s brand-new heritage attraction when it opens later this year.”

The centre will be free to visit and will be accessable to all so that everyone can have the chance to learn about why Bath is so special.

It is hoped that the new centre will inspire people to explore the buildings, landscapes and history that play a vital role in making Bath the World famous Heritage Site that it is.
